  • Online Consulting Services for Caregivers

    How Are We Different?

At Achieve Quality of Life, we focus on meeting the needs of caregivers!

Our consultants are specialists who work with neurodiverse individuals, including those who have diagnoses such as Intellectual Disability, Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD, Down Syndrome, and Traumatic Brain Injury. Our consultants also have a wealth knowledge on topics that are unique for caregivers, including burnout, stress and coping, and financial planning.

At AQOL, we understand the importance of not only developing skills, but in building relationships and a life, from which one can find meaning!

Since disabilities and mental health conditions can impact entire families, we aim to serve caregivers and family units, rather than just one family member.

We provide our unique consulting framework to you, online, where you can access it all!

    How Does It Work?

As a caregiver, do you strive for more, for you and your loved ones?  Consider us your innovative, “on-demand” source of information and support that you can schedule on your own time, when it’s convenient for you!  No weekly “block” of time required. Can You Just Talk to a Friend, Parent, or a Significant Other for Advice?

You could… but sometimes we need the kind of help that our loved ones are not able to provide.  A trained professional can help you to approach your situation in a new way, by teaching you new skills!

We can assist you in tackling every-day problems such as:

    • Assisting your loved one in learning how to make and keep friends
    • Handling obsessive-compulsive behaviors and anxiety
    • Assisting your loved one in developing skills for the work force
    • Learning how to eat for your body type and mental health concerns
    • Financial planning
    • Meeting your child’s sensory needs
    • Assisting your loved one (and likely the rest of the family, too!) in getting a better night’s sleep
    • Discovering the benefits of holistic health options, including essential oils, CBD, and supplements.
    • *Assisting your loved one in coping with depression or suicidal thinking
    • *Assisting your loved one in processing a traumatic event

*To address certain goals, it may be recommended that your loved one work with a licensed therapist or professional who resides locally.  Our team of consultants are happy to connect with your therapists, teachers, and support staff to coordinate care.

    Does AQOL Provide Therapy?

We do provide therapy!  Please visit our Clinical Services page if you are interested in our traditional therapy option.

Our caregiver consulting sessions are not considered to be therapy. Our team members assist you, the caregivers, to find the treatments and programs that will work best for you and your loved ones. They can also walk with you and provide valuable insights as you try out new techniques and methods at home! While our clinical team-members may be licensed in their home states to work with neurodiverse individuals directly, they contract with AQOL to provide supports to caregivers using a “train-the-trainer” framework.

Disclaimer: All of our consultants share advice, information, and tools in alignment with their professional areas of expertise, within their own scope of practice. However, the value they may provide you cannot be considered medical advice. Please connect with a licensed medical professional or therapist in your own state, to comply with your specific state’s regulations.

How Long Will it Take to Reach Your Goals?

Everyone’s circumstances are unique and the length of time needed to achieve a goal will vary from one person to the next.  It also depends on what your goals are!  It can be fun to set goals, to improve our lives.  While some families may require just 4-6 consulting sessions, others might prefer to have regular check-in/maintenance sessions to ensure continuity, which can continue in the form of a relationship that lasts for months or even years.

You Want to Get the Most Out of Your Sessions. What Can You Do to Help?

We are so glad you asked!  To get the most out of your sessions and to achieve your goals, it will be critical to attend your scheduled sessions and to complete any “assignments” that your consultant has taken the time to assign to you.

    Do You Accept Insurance?

We choose not to go in-network with any insurance companies at this time. Our mission is to individualize our supports to better serve our families. We can best support you by remaining flexible, in order to meet your needs.

    What Are The Consulting Rates?

We offer flexible consulting sessions for our clients.  For a new client’s first month, we require that a package of four 30-minute sessions (2 hours) be purchased up front.  After the first month, sessions may be purchased individually, or in bulk.

Rates vary by consultant.  Please contact us for more information!
